Description

  • Design, develop, and operate a large-scale platform for containerized workloads on Azure.
  • Act as the Azure subject matter expert within the Cloud PaaS team.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to plan and deliver the cloud platform roadmap.
  • Build reliability and fault tolerance into the platform and keep systems easy to diagnose and fix.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure using Terraform and GitOps with Flux.
  • Implement and maintain security controls using tools such as HashiCorp Vault and OPA Gatekeeper.
  • Guide and support teammates by sharing technical knowledge and promoting continuous learning.
  • Work with monitoring and logging systems to support platform operations and observability.
  • Participate in out-of-hours support when required.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in a commercial, large-scale environment.
  • Strong experience with AKS and cloud-native tooling such as Helm, Istio, Flux, and Crossplane.
  • Proven experience managing and automating enterprise environments with Terraform.
  • Proficiency in one or more core languages: Go, TypeScript, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging stacks such as ELK/EFK, Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, or New Relic.
  • Solid understanding of SRE and ITIL principles.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, Agile environments with tools like JIRA.
  • Pragmatic, empathetic approach to working with stakeholders and developer customers.
