Description

  • Design, own, and continuously optimise core economy systems across XP, rewards, progression, incentives, and player currencies.
  • Build forecasting models and simulations to assess player behaviour, economy health, and the impact of proposed changes before launch.
  • Monitor live economy performance to identify imbalances, exploitative behaviour, and opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
  • Partner with Product, Data, and Engineering to implement, refine, and scale economy systems across the platform.
  • Use data, experimentation, and player insight to inform product decisions and shape long-term economy strategy.
  • Define how economy systems behave end to end, from player actions through to rewards and long-term retention.
  • Apply probabilistic and mathematical modelling to support the design and balancing of game mechanics.
  • Act as a guardian of the economy to ensure systems remain stable, scalable, and sustainable as the product grows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in economy design, data science, or applied economics, ideally in gaming, betting, or similar systems-driven products.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative modelling skills, including simulation, forecasting, or probabilistic systems.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python.
  • Experience designing or balancing complex systems such as economies, rewards, or marketplaces.
  • Deep understanding of experimentation and data-driven iteration.
  • Ability to combine player intuition with rigorous analysis.
  • Clear communication and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Background in economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
