Description

  • Define and lead the social media strategy and long-term content vision across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, and YouTube.
  • Establish community guidelines, creative standards, editorial direction, and success metrics for social content.
  • Build social-first production processes, resourcing plans, and platform-specific content guidelines.
  • Lead creative collaboration with external partners, agencies, and creators as needed.
  • Own the integrated social calendar and oversee content creation and rapid deployment workflows.
  • Track KPIs, analyze performance, and run test-and-learn experiments to improve content results.
  • Develop measurement frameworks that show social’s impact on brand health and business objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with creative, lifecycle, community, growth, editorial, influencer, PR, and community teams.
  • Use social listening to identify cultural opportunities, shape narrative, and manage reactive moments.
  • Mentor and manage a social media manager while building team structure, growth paths, and a culture of experimentation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of social media experience at a major brand, agency, or high-growth organization.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling social communities, driving engagement, and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Portfolio demonstrating social-first work, platform-native execution, strong visual storytelling, and documented results in reach, engagement, and brand growth.
  • Experience leading video and content productions from concepting through distribution with strong attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of social media analytics, measurement frameworks, and platform tools.
  • Must stay current on algorithm changes, emerging features, and cultural trends across major platforms.
  • Strong writing, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across teams.
  • Experience managing and mentoring social media teams, with strong project management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to operate at both high-level strategy and hands-on production, and to adapt quickly to evolving systems and business needs.
  • Bonus points for experience in health, wellness, or another high-trust category, creator/influencer ecosystems, and startup or high-growth environments.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship needs.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $170,000–$200,000 annually.
  • Eligible for additional compensation, including equity.
  • Benefits package included.
  • Hybrid Bay Area or fully remote work location.
