Description

  • Serve as the texting lead on assigned clients by crafting program strategy, managing client relationships, and coordinating work across teams.
  • Manage 3-4 direct reports through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, onboarding, training, and professional development.
  • Provide feedback, copyediting, and content approvals to junior staff and ensure final deliverables are polished.
  • Assist or lead hiring for Texting team roles.
  • Own financial management and forecasting for assigned accounts, including reporting, invoicing, and spending and fundraising projections.
  • Develop, pitch, and execute list growth and mobile acquisition strategies, while monitoring performance and scaling investments.
  • Build media plans tied to acquisition, fundraising, and list growth outcomes, and manage vendor performance against benchmarks.
  • Ensure rapid response coverage across accounts and coach staff on quality execution and judgment.
  • Develop internal and external processes, training materials, and best practices to improve program performance.
  • Pitch prospective clients, upsell existing clients, assist with onboarding, and support cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in texting, digital fundraising, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of P2P and/or broadcast texting experience required.
  • Strong people management skills or clear readiness to manage junior staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects and relationships independently.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills across multiple send types and client voices.
  • Deep understanding of digital fundraising strategy, including theory of change, ask structure, and campaign urgency.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills with the ability to build accurate fundraising and spending projections.
  • Comfort leading high-stakes client conversations and course-correcting strategy based on performance issues.
  • Expert knowledge of Switchboard and familiarity with platforms such as Scale to Win, Tatango, and Amplify.
  • Required knowledge of ActBlue and CRMs such as ActionKit, Action Network, and NGP.
  • Proficiency in AirTable, Looker Studio, and Google Sheets for reporting and visualization.
  • Experience building media plans for acquisition programs and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail while working under tight deadlines and managing multiple content calendars.
