Description

Lead the design and improvement of CI/CD platforms and workflows.
Own complex technical problems from discovery through to solution delivery.
Define and promote engineering standards and best practices.
Design Infrastructure as Code solutions for cloud and hybrid platforms.
Provide technical leadership within delivery teams.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers.
Review designs, code, and pipelines.
Work closely with architects, product owners, and stakeholders.
Communicate technical trade-offs and decisions clearly.
Contribute to roadmap planning and technical strategy.

Requirements

Strong experience designing and running CI/CD pipelines.
Deep understanding of Git-based workflows and source control.
Production experience with Terraform using HCL.
Strong Python experience for automation and tooling.
Experience with other scripting or programming languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Go.
Strong experience with one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Working knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid architectures.
Understanding of identity, networking, and security in cloud platforms.
Strong Linux experience; Windows Server experience and macOS familiarity are also valued.
Good depth in networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls, and routing.
VMware experience such as vSphere or ESXi, plus understanding of physical infrastructure and data centre environments.
Proven experience leading by influence, not title.
Ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly and challenge designs constructively.
Experience developing and mentoring engineers.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience working in agile delivery environments and across multiple teams or clients.
Pragmatic approach to tooling and architecture with a focus on outcomes and reliability.
Problem-solving mindset, ownership, accountability, technical curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
