Description

  • Ship major features end to end across the JavaScript and Clojure codebase.
  • Work on tricky backend issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to a product used by thousands of companies and major corporations.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with a fully distributed global engineering team.
  • Build software with strong attention to end-user experience and product quality.
  • Make sound technical judgments and explain them clearly.
  • Help deliver long-term value rather than short-term hacks.

Requirements

  • Experience in Clojure or a strong desire to learn it.
  • Track record of shipping products of significant complexity.
  • Solid computer science background, through formal education or production software experience.
  • Ability to make good technical judgments and articulate the reasoning behind them.
  • Experience shipping production code in Clojure, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, compiler theory, or modern big data infrastructure is helpful.
  • Nice to have: experience with JDBC and database integrations.
  • Nice to have: experience with the Java ecosystem and JVM tuning.
  • Nice to have: history of open source contributions.
  • Nice to have: experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
