Description

  • Own and deepen Metabase's relationships with key technical and go-to-market partners, with near-term focus on major AI vendors and data warehouse providers.
  • Build multi-threaded relationships across both partner field teams and leadership teams to keep Metabase top-of-mind at every level.
  • Design and run co-selling and co-marketing motions that convert partner relationships into pipeline.
  • Represent Metabase in strategic partner conversations, including negotiating priorities, resolving friction, and identifying opportunities for deeper integration.
  • Build the systems, cadences, and reporting needed to make partnerships a repeatable and measurable function.
  • Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities as Metabase's ecosystem grows.
  • Act as the internal voice of partners by surfacing their roadmaps, priorities, and constraints to Sales, Marketing, and Product.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or a related go-to-market role with end-to-end ownership of partner relationships.
  • Experience building a partnerships function at a small, scaling startup, including creating process from scratch in the absence of established playbooks.
  • Comfort operating at multiple levels, from individual contributors such as AEs and SEs to senior leaders such as VPs and Heads of Partnerships.
  • Track record of turning partner relationships into measurable pipeline and revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and commercial audiences.
  • Existing relationships within the AI or data warehouse ecosystems is a bonus.
  • Experience in open-source, developer tools, or data infrastructure companies is a bonus.
  • Ownership mindset and comfort with experiments.
  • Ability to create from scratch and build new processes.
  • Ability to operate effectively across different levels of seniority and influence.
