Description

  • Define and execute the data strategy for AI model training, simulation, and production deployment.
  • Own end-to-end data pipelines, including collection, labeling, curation, versioning, and delivery.
  • Build closed-loop data flywheels that incorporate deployed-system behavior into future training iterations.
  • Align data delivery with large-scale GPU/TPU training capacity, orchestration, and schedules.
  • Design data pipelines for data-driven, physics-based, and high-fidelity simulation environments.
  • Establish data-quality and traceability practices with safety, validation, and certification teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data and infrastructure engineers.
  • Define and track KPIs for pipeline health, simulation fidelity, and model readiness.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role for data infrastructure, MLOps, or AI platform engineering at scale.
  • Experience building and operating production-scale AI/ML training data pipelines, including dataset management, labeling workflows, and data versioning.
  • Hands-on experience integrating data systems with distributed training infrastructure such as GPU/TPU clusters, job orchestration, and experiment tracking.
  • Deep understanding of data-driven, physics-based, or sensor-realistic simulation pipelines and their impact on model transferability.
  • Experience in safety-critical domains such as autonomous vehicles, aviation, or robotics, including rigor, traceability, and validation practices.
  • Experience building reliable platforms and tooling used by engineering teams, with strong documentation and developer experience.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with product, safety, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with synthetic data, domain randomization, or sensor simulation for sim-to-real transfer (preferred).
  • Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, ISO 26262, SOTIF, data governance, lineage, or provenance tooling in regulated environments (preferred).
