Description

  • Converse with the model on Japanese language scenarios and prompt it with challenging linguistic cases.
  • Evaluate the model’s factual accuracy and logical soundness in language-related outputs.
  • Document failure modes and capture reproducible error traces for debugging and analysis.
  • Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
  • Test the model on Japanese grammar, syntax, morphology, kanji, kana, phonology, pragmatics, and writing-system nuances.
  • Challenge the model on verb conjugation, sentence structure, honorifics, formal and informal speech, regional dialects, and kanji readings.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Japanese language, linguistics, or a closely related field is ideal.
  • Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects are preferred indicators of fit.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese grammar, syntax, morphology, kanji, hiragana, katakana, phonology, and pragmatics.
  • Ability to clearly communicate reasoning and 'show your work' with metacognitive explanation.
  • Experience evaluating advanced language models or linguistic outputs is relevant.
  • Must supply a secure computer and high-speed internet as a contractor.
  • Remote work location.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $6 to $65 per hour, with final rate based on experience, expertise, and geographic location.
