Description

  • Serve as Paid Search Lead on one or more of the agency’s largest search accounts, delivering strategy and hands-on optimizations with Paid Search and channel team members.
  • Own Paid Search strategy for multiple accounts and prioritize tactical recommendations to improve performance.
  • Present Paid Search strategy, performance, and tactical priorities to client stakeholders using clear storytelling and impactful campaign recommendations.
  • Partner with cross-channel leads to create holistic media plans including forecasting, budgets, testing, tactical plans, and reporting.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for client Paid Search teams and delegate work to supporting team members.
  • Own pacing across a book of business and ensure campaigns are spending to desired targets.
  • Drive Paid Search innovation and testing, develop quarterly or annual roadmaps to keep advanced accounts up to date with trends and opportunities.
  • Manage and develop team members (Account Managers to Associate Directors), deliver feedback and performance reviews, and serve as a senior sponsor on accounts to build senior client relationships.
  • Work with Google, Bing, and vendor partners on client strategy, testing, expansion opportunities, and account health, and contribute to department trainings, POVs, award submissions, case studies, new business pitches, and audits.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Paid Search experience.
  • Experience managing direct Paid Search budgets of at least $1M in monthly ad spend.
  • 3+ years of management experience with at least two direct reports.
  • Experience directing strategy for B2B lead generation clients (bonus for managing multiple lines of business).
  • Experience across YouTube, App Campaigns, Performance Max, Demand Gen, traditional paid search, and shopping.
  • Comfort and willingness to embrace automation and AI, including script adoption and using AI for reporting, insights, visuals, and workflow testing.
  • Strong point of view on the future of search and the role of AI/automation across SEM/Shopping.
  • Advanced slide presentation skills and experience presenting paid search strategy to marketing executives and senior audiences (VP+).
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
  • Experience with bid management platforms preferred (e.g., SA360, Skai, Marin).
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to join in-person team meetings, events, and client presentations as business needs arise (estimated 1-2 times per quarter) and adhere to company Return to Office policy if commutable.
