Description

  • Build and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes, page builder builds, content updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement responsive layouts and interactions that match approved designs precisely across browsers.
  • Work within a headless WordPress architecture by connecting WordPress as a CMS to a decoupled front-end layer.
  • Support the migration to a modern static-site front end, with an Astro-first approach and related framework implementations.
  • Improve site performance and Core Web Vitals through caching, image optimization, and other best practices.
  • Ship landing pages and experiment pages for paid campaigns.
  • Support technical integrations such as forms, CRM connections, call tracking, analytics, pixel/tag setup, and server-side tracking.
  • Implement technical SEO elements including schema, redirects, sitemaps, indexation fixes, and internal linking.
  • Debug and resolve issues across plugins, theme conflicts, hosting environments, DNS, and SSL.
  • Collaborate with design, SEO, and strategy teams using tickets, code reviews, QA checklists, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of professional web development experience.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes/components, page builders, and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with headless WordPress and a decoupled CMS plus front-end framework setup.
  • Experience with Astro or a comparable modern static/SSR framework such as Next.js, Nuxt, or SvelteKit.
  • Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with comfort implementing modern responsive layouts.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization, accessibility basics, and debugging in production.
  • Must be available to work 9am–6pm EST.
  • Experience with React for front-end components or microsites is a bonus.
  • Python experience with a web framework such as Django or Flask is a bonus.
  • Technical SEO knowledge, including structured data and crawl/indexation troubleshooting, is a bonus.
  • Hosting and operations experience with tools such as WP Engine, Kinsta, Cloudflare, or VPS setups is a bonus.
  • Analytics instrumentation experience with GTM, GA4 events, conversion APIs, or call tracking platforms is a bonus.
  • Experience building reusable Gutenberg blocks/components or custom plugins is a bonus.
