Description

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and prioritize fixes by impact.
  • Diagnose and resolve crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, and structured data issues.
  • Implement and maintain schema markup across law firm site templates in WordPress.
  • Manage redirects, canonicalization, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt configurations.
  • Monitor site health on an ongoing basis using SEO tools and search console data.
  • Perform keyword research and develop content strategies aligned with client practice areas and target markets.
  • Produce detailed content briefs for writers and optimize existing on-page content for relevance, structure, and search intent.
  • Identify content gaps and create roadmaps to close them.
  • Own local SEO strategy, including Google Business Profile optimization, citation building, and local pack performance.
  • Track keyword benchmark performance, report insights, and recommend course corrections when targets are off track.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience across technical, content, and local SEO.
  • Deep familiarity with WordPress and comfort implementing technical SEO changes directly in the CMS.
  • Experience with common WordPress SEO plugins such as Yoast and RankMath.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Business Profile.
  • Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization, and SEO implications of site performance.
  • Proven ability to conduct keyword research and translate findings into clear content strategies and briefs.
  • Experience managing local SEO across multi-location clients or businesses with multiple service areas.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing a large volume of client work through project management tools.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the legal vertical or other regulated industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with log file analysis and crawl budget optimization is a plus.
  • Experience with link building strategy and execution is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO implementation is a plus.
  • Exposure to GA4, GTM, and conversion tracking setup is a plus.
