Description

  • Craft competitive SEO audits, proposals, and reports for clients.
  • Assess client website health, identify errors, and surface optimization opportunities.
  • Execute planned technical SEO and site optimization work against defined scopes.
  • Conduct SEO research and optimization for website redesigns, large-scale organic SEO, and backlink projects.
  • Use tools such as MarketMuse, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to support analysis and recommendations.
  • Leverage Google Analytics to inform strategy and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve visibility in Google’s AI Overviews and generative search engines.
  • Optimize site architecture and content for LLM crawlers, semantic density, and clear entity relationships.
  • Track brand mentions and citations in generative search results using emerging tools and methods.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and share SEO learnings with colleagues and clients.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience contributing to or managing SEO programs, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Proven success with SEO campaigns for medium to large brands, ideally including ecommerce companies.
  • Strong understanding of cross-channel marketing principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical SEO, including crawling, indexing, rendering, AMP, site migrations, page speed optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Advanced experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console; Tag Manager and/or Publisher Center is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS as they affect search performance.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, plus comfort with Google Sheets and spreadsheet formats.
  • Experience using standard and enterprise SEO tools such as Botify, Sitebulb, Conductor Searchlight, STAT, SEMrush, Sistrix, DeepCrawl, and Screaming Frog.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex search concepts clearly.
  • Strong project management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote contractor role and provide your own hardware and stable internet connection.
  • Experience improving visibility in Google’s AI Overviews and generative search engines is required or strongly emphasized in the role.
  • Ability to optimize content for LLM crawlers and monitor AI search citations is required or strongly emphasized in the role.
