Description

  • Lead end-to-end data science implementations using Microsoft analytics and AI technologies.
  • Build predictive models, complex algorithms, and analytical solutions from structured and unstructured data.
  • Extract insights from large datasets and provide actionable recommendations to client stakeholders.
  • Manage project requirements, goals, timelines, deliverables, and client communications across multiple complex engagements.
  • Build client relationships, gather business requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior teammates, serve as a data science subject matter expert, and support team growth.
  • Develop data capture strategies that improve automation, data quality, and analytics capabilities.
  • Perform ad hoc data extracts and automate recurring data requests.
  • Apply Agile delivery methods, scalable architectures, and process improvements.
  • Develop statements of work and proposals when needed, with approximately 10% travel.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in data science, AI, and big data; data engineering experience is a plus.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience developing, owning, and deploying production-level models across varied datasets.
  • Experience monitoring production models and ensuring continuous availability using measurement tools such as statistical process control.
  • Proficiency with Python, R, Scala, Spark, and/or T-SQL.
  • Experience connecting to data lakes, data warehouses, NoSQL databases, and APIs.
  • Experience setting up data and experimental platforms.
  • Strong statistical, machine learning, programming, critical-thinking, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience working with large data volumes; manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Power BI is preferred.
  • Ability to work virtually from a home-based office and travel approximately 10% as needed.
