Description

  • Design responsive UI screens and components in Figma that align with the existing design system.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the design system, including patterns, interactions, styles, and documentation.
  • Work with UX to create and test prototypes with teachers and students.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to refine design details and deliver production-ready files.
  • Support the design of gamified experiences such as shops, rewards, challenges, and quests.
  • Create visual concepts for new features that are appealing and age-appropriate for young learners.
  • Craft polished visual assets, icons, layouts, and supporting illustrations.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, and AI tools where helpful in the creative process.
  • Explore new creative and product possibilities with AI and contribute future-focused ideas for the platform.
  • Work closely with the Head of Design while taking initiative and working independently once tasks are defined.

Requirements

  • A Higher Ed Certificate in Design, UI, Graphic, Multimedia, or a related field.
  • Experience designing web or mobile interfaces using Figma.
  • A strong eye for detail and modern digital aesthetics.
  • Good visual taste and an understanding of what strong, current design looks like.
  • Interest in designing for young people and teacher-facing tools.
  • A willingness to learn, experiment, and grow skills.
  • Comfort using AI as a creative or design tool.
  • Ability to take a defined task and move forward independently with support nearby.
  • A portfolio showcasing visual craft, UI work, digital design, visual storytelling, or concepting.
  • Motion graphics and/or illustration skills are a bonus.
  • Experience with Rive is a bonus.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects, or equivalent, is a bonus.
  • Experience with design systems is a bonus.
  • Experience in EdTech, gamification, or youth brands is a bonus.
