Description

  • Review digital textbook content, including worksheets, lessons, teacher materials, interactive questions, and assessments, for alignment to the Alberta Mathematics curriculum.
  • Provide detailed feedback and improvement suggestions for student-facing and teacher-facing materials.
  • Communicate regularly with content writers to support the development of high-quality math content.
  • Identify areas of weakness within each course and recommend improvements.
  • Help ensure the content is responsive to the needs of Alberta classrooms, including French-language classrooms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a focus in mathematics education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics in Alberta classrooms, Grades 7–9.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Alberta Mathematics curriculum.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including openness to giving and receiving feedback.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on highest impact.
  • Comfort using technology and digital tools.
  • Bilingual in English and French is a strong asset.
  • Experience reviewing instructional materials for a district, province, or educational organization is preferred.
  • Experience working in or with EdTech companies is preferred.
