Description

  • Interact directly with students in a professional manner and facilitate a safe, productive learning environment.
  • Respond promptly to student questions, requests for clarification, and outreach to inactive students.
  • Review course functionality and content to ensure high-quality delivery of instructional materials.
  • Provide timely feedback on student assignments and synthesize student performance data.
  • Support students with academic integrity topics such as plagiarism and copyright compliance.
  • Direct students to supplemental resources to strengthen their skills and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and college leadership and attend required meetings.
  • Promote the college’s vision, mission, and culture within and beyond the institution.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies.
  • Support research and course quality improvements within the program and department.

Requirements

  • Earned a terminal degree in Leadership, Higher Education, Research, Community College, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of teaching and leadership experience in a formal educational setting.
  • Experience teaching in both traditional and non-traditional formats, with higher education preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building online or virtual professional relationships.
  • Evidence of professional research and/or creative endeavors and subject-matter expertise.
  • Strong communication, organization, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual environment and under tight deadlines.
  • Must support and embrace the college’s Impact mission and civic engagement initiatives.
  • Reliable remote work setup with minimum internet speeds of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
