Description

  • Write readable, testable, and maintainable JavaScript/TypeScript backend code with an object-oriented approach.
  • Own backend features from requirements analysis through implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Write documentation for delivered code and technical decisions.
  • Review teammates’ code and provide constructive feedback and knowledge sharing.
  • Design and modify basic database structures and API contracts.
  • Propose pragmatic improvements to the product and team workflows.
  • Participate in project discussions, refinements, and technical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the client and team to translate business needs into practical solutions and estimates.
  • Support less experienced team members through code review, explanations, and pair programming.
  • Use AI tools responsibly in day-to-day development while verifying outputs to production standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial experience in Node.js.
  • Strong experience with at least one Node.js backend framework such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including static typing, advanced types, and compiler configuration.
  • Experience with SQL databases and integration or basic design work using ORM/query builder tools such as Prisma or Knex.
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases and/or in-memory databases as data stores.
  • Basic knowledge of Docker and GitHub Actions.
  • Basic experience with AWS services.
  • Understanding of design and architecture patterns, SOLID, and KISS principles.
  • English level B2 and Polish level C1.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-powered backend features such as LLM API integrations, basic RAG flows, or simple agent workflows (preferred).
  • Daily experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and monitoring code quality (preferred).
  • Experience working on products in the MVP or early product development stage (preferred).
