Description

  • Own end-to-end credit strategy initiatives from framework design through implementation and ongoing monitoring.
  • Build, review, and refine consumer and commercial credit card risk and pricing strategies.
  • Adjust credit card policies based on portfolio performance and risk trends.
  • Establish strategies that drive approval rates, new accounts, loss rates, profit margin, and related KPIs.
  • Partner with data scientists to build credit risk and cash flow models.
  • Work with product teams to develop credit stacks and data strategies using financial, bank, and third-party datasets.
  • Partner with capital markets on securitization structures, warehouse lines, and forward flow deals.
  • Provide analytical support to co-brand partners, including loss forecasts and profitability analysis.
  • Draft underwriting and risk documentation and support bank partners on model validation and governance.
  • Report KPIs and risk performance to senior management and serve as a risk consultant to bank partners and customers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building credit card risk and pricing programs, ideally in fintech, across consumer and/or commercial underwriting.
  • Experience owning the full credit card lifecycle, including credit policy, risk strategy, approval, line assignment, pricing, partner risk assessments, and acquisition strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math, or a related field.
  • Expert-level Excel and SQL modeling skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, finance, compliance, bank partners, and capital providers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex credit concepts for executive, partner, and cross-functional audiences.
  • Comfort working in a build environment without a large supporting team.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings with shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt credit strategies based on portfolio performance or macroeconomic conditions.

  • Base salary range of $153,500-$191,900 for National, $166,200-$207,700 for Premium, and $180,600-$225,800 for Premium+ locations.
