Description

  • Support IMA’s core values and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with internal and external clients by email, phone, and in person.
  • Lead complex technical work and strategic financial consulting for employee benefit plans.
  • Prepare and manage RFPs and market submissions for self-funded TPA and stop loss business.
  • Review renewals for fully insured medical and self-funded TPA and stop loss plans, including costs, contributions, and contract terms.
  • Negotiate with carriers and maintain relationships with carrier and vendor partners.
  • Perform benchmarking, contribution, disruption, network, deductible, and GeoAccess analysis.
  • Develop underwriting cost projections and self-funded IBNP analysis.
  • Analyze data for inconsistencies and trends, and summarize findings for Client Executives.
  • Prepare client presentations and present findings alongside the client team.
  • Mentor analysts, review technical work, and serve as a subject matter expert for financial strategy functions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of similar or related experience.
  • Prefer a college degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Life and Health license required, with ongoing continuing education.
  • Knowledge of underwriting and actuarial computations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines.
  • Ability to be firm and persuasive while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
  • Limited travel required, less than 25%.
