Description

  • Perform end-to-end daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Track, report, and oversee Customer Program Deposits and intraday funding balances to ensure daily funding compliance.
  • Escalate irregularities and data integrity issues promptly to maintain accurate transaction and banking records.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, identify control gaps, and partner cross-functionally to implement solutions.
  • Support month-end close activities and other time-sensitive settlement operations.
  • Define business requirements, develop test plans, and validate new processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Data & Insights teams to resolve bugs and improve reconciliation capabilities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on settlement controls and provide backup support for cross-functional needs.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by enhancing reconciliation procedures, internal controls, and automation initiatives.
  • Deliver recommendations that optimize cash management and treasury operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or settlement/reconciliation functions.
  • Strong knowledge of banking, financial services, operations, and cash management is preferred.
  • Experience with reconciliation tools and automation platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
  • Experience leveraging AI for process automation and data analysis.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and management levels.
  • Experience in bank and network transaction reconciliation (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX) is a nice to have.
  • Experience with funds transfer processes such as ACH, wire transfers, SWIFT, RTP, or FedNow is a nice to have.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance such as SOX, PCI DSS, or banking regulations is a nice to have.
  • Experience in tech, digital banking, or payment processor environments is a nice to have.
  • Availability to work PST hours, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
  • Role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States or from the Oakland office.
