Description

  • Research and identify high-impact tech and no-code communities for local event opportunities.
  • Source, evaluate, and select potential Chapter Leads who represent Make’s culture and values.
  • Train and onboard Chapter Leads using Make’s playbooks and event standards.
  • Advise Chapter Leads on event planning, venue sourcing, and logistics as needed.
  • Support the execution and ongoing improvement of the chapters program through feedback and data.
  • Capture and share content and energy from local in-person events back to online community channels.
  • Maintain daily communication with Chapter Leads to keep them supported, motivated, and on brand.
  • Manage the distribution of community rewards and event materials such as swag and other logistics.
  • Track attendance, sentiment, and growth metrics to assess program success and market impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in community operations or field marketing.
  • Experience managing ambassador programs or chapter programs.
  • Proven experience recruiting, training, and motivating community leaders or volunteers.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate many moving parts across time zones.
  • Ability to coach and advise community leaders through planning without doing the work for them.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to improve playbooks to reduce future issues.
  • Comfort using tools to track event progress and analyze performance metrics.
  • US-based location with willingness to travel for flagship events or chapter launches.
  • Flawless English skills and the ability to build rapport across diverse cultures.
