Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex mobile platform integrations across the Graykey product.
  • Debug issues that span Python, native C/C++, and mobile operating system userspace and kernel behavior.
  • Own root cause analysis for failures involving crash dumps, kernel panics, and disassembled binaries.
  • Drive implementation from design through system integration, testing, and production.
  • Mentor engineers on the team and raise the technical bar through code review.
  • Collaborate with firmware, product, and engineering teams across the company.
  • Work across iOS, Android, and Graykey without platform silos, following issues wherever they occur in the stack.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • At least 4 years working at the iOS platform layer.
  • Deep iOS internals experience, including A-series/M-series SoC architecture, iBoot, DFU, restore mode, XNU kernel fundamentals, IOKit, memory protection, code signing, sandboxing, Secure Enclave, data protection, and Keychain internals.
  • Strong Python experience at production scale, including type systems, packaging, and performance.
  • Experience with Objective-C, C/C++, systems programming, memory management, and low-level interface work.
  • Experience with cross-compilation toolchains and embedded build systems targeting ARM64.
  • Comfort debugging remote devices and reading crash dumps and core files.
  • Strong git skills and senior-level code review workflow experience.
  • Android or other mobile platform experience is useful but does not replace iOS depth.
  • Nice-to-have reverse engineering skills with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja.
  • Nice-to-have Objective-C runtime internals knowledge, including method swizzling, dyld, and class-dump.
  • Nice-to-have Android internals knowledge, including SELinux, Binder IPC, TrustZone, and dm-verity.
  • Nice-to-have embedded systems background, including RTOS or kernel programming on resource-constrained hardware.
  • Nice-to-have background in digital forensics, incident response, or law enforcement tooling.
