Description

  • Provide in-house legal advice on a wide range of employment matters, including agreements, policies, investigations, leave, compensation, classification, benefits, litigation, hiring, and terminations.
  • Work closely with the International People Team, Employee Relations, and HR Business Partners to address emerging workplace issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assess legal risks and opportunities and advise stakeholders on practical, business-focused solutions.
  • Independently manage legal matters and employment-related projects from basic to complex.
  • Support decision-making by collaborating with clients and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Supervise and manage outside counsel on employment and litigation matters.
  • Educate and train internal stakeholders on legal matters, policies, and procedures.
  • Escalate significant matters to the General Counsel or Senior Associate General Counsel when appropriate.
  • Monitor emerging laws, regulations, enforcement trends, and best practices in global labor and employment law.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of employment law experience in-house or in private practice.
  • Admission to practice in England and Wales preferred; other recognized jurisdictions will also be considered.
  • Experience advising on employment matters across EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions preferred.
  • Experience with privacy and data protection laws is a plus.
  • Knowledge of immigration law is a plus.
  • Operational experience translating legal requirements into day-to-day HR guidance.
  • Experience leading employee relations responses and workplace investigations.
  • Experience analyzing labor and employment issues across global territories, including EMEA, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, judgment, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading projects and presenting information clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Experience working in-house at a technology company and/or healthcare organization strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
