Description

  • Design and operate ephemeral, pre-warmed development environments for engineers and AI agents on demand.
  • Extend the internal CLI to automate local environment startup, service discovery, dependency management, and configuration.
  • Build environment parity monitoring to ensure development environments match production behavior.
  • Own automated pre-production quality gates, including load testing, performance benchmarking, and security scanning.
  • Partner with QA and engineering to expand gate coverage across services and contributions.
  • Build containerized mock services from OpenAPI specs and support local integration testing against realistic dependencies.
  • Stand up Playwright-based UI validation in agent and CI workflows.
  • Create infrastructure for iterative self-refinement so agents and engineers can run, capture failures, and improve before opening a PR.
  • Build internal review tools, metrics dashboards, and operational controls to make pipelines observable and manageable at scale.
  • Define policy layers for approval requirements by component or task type.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles building and operating production systems at scale.
  • Active use of AI development tools such as Claude Code or Codex in infrastructure workflows.
  • Strong expertise with Kubernetes, especially EKS, and core AWS services including IAM, VPC, ECR, SSM/Secrets Manager, S3, SQS, Lambda, and RDS/Aurora.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience, with Terraform preferred, and experience with GitOps workflows such as Argo CD.
  • Proven experience building ephemeral environments, developer tooling, internal platforms, CLIs, scaffolding tools, or developer portals.
  • Experience with load testing tools such as k6, Locust, or Gatling and automating performance gates in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience building mock or stub infrastructure for integration testing, including containerized services, API mocking, and dependency isolation.
  • Deep CI/CD experience with tools such as CircleCI or GitHub Actions, including caching, parallelism, artifact management, test reliability, and pipeline observability.
  • Experience with release strategies such as canary or blue-green deployments and automated rollbacks.
  • Observability experience with Datadog and OpenTelemetry, including defining SLIs/SLOs and tying them to delivery decisions.
  • Excellent cross-team communication skills and the ability to translate platform constraints into developer-friendly solutions and documentation.
