Description

  • Support the Store Manager across all business areas as second-in-command and step into manager duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to exceed daily sales goals and deliver an inclusive customer experience.
  • Educate customers and staff on brand values, product standards, and ethical business practices.
  • Build product knowledge and make informed recommendations to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor metrics, budgets, and reports to help drive profitable sales performance.
  • Support the team on the sales floor by answering questions, removing obstacles, problem solving, and motivating staff.
  • Coach and develop staff through feedback, leading by example, and support for performance improvement.
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, networking, and succession planning for the shop.
  • Collaborate on staff engagement, retention, performance, and DEIB-related development plans.
  • Support operational excellence through policies, stock and inventory management, merchandising, scheduling, and attendance tracking.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience managing or supervising in a retail environment.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills.
  • Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Experience with consultation-based customer service models is preferred.
  • Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite, with adaptability to other systems as required.
  • Basic HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management are preferred.
  • Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages is preferred.
