Description

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Excel models for carbon project financial performance and feasibility.
  • Analyze revenue projections, cost estimates, and investment returns for carbon projects.
  • Collect, organize, and evaluate financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to test the impact of different assumptions and market conditions on project outcomes.
  • Assess financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to support project success and sustainability.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that summarize financial analysis, project performance, and recommendations for stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with project managers, carbon foresters, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams on project planning and decision-making.
  • Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and improve the accuracy and reliability of financial models.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an underwriting- or forecasting-focused position.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and financial modeling techniques.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts including NPV, IRR, ROI, and financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and interest in carbon markets and climate finance.
  • Experience with carbon projects or sustainability finance is preferred.
  • Remote work arrangement.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
