Description

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, define, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyse datasets and conduct data profiling to support validation, quality, and understanding of data.
  • Support ETL processes by validating data against ER diagrams and data models.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation and other artefacts to support data knowledge and solution understanding.
  • Work with Product Owners on stakeholder engagement, user story creation, data analysis, and delivery activities.
  • Collaborate with Data Modellers, Data Engineers, and Testers on the design, development, and implementation of data solutions.
  • Support testing by creating test scenarios and test cases aligned to business requirements and user stories.
  • Gather and document Power BI reporting requirements, including KPIs, metrics, filters, and business rules.
  • Validate report accuracy and perform functional testing of dashboards and reporting features.
  • Track progress, manage defects, monitor risks, and escalate data integrity issues when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience gathering and translating business requirements into data and reporting solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong SQL experience for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with Entity Relationship (ER) diagrams and data modelling principles.
  • Experience defining and executing test scenarios and test cases in Agile or similar environments.
  • Proven Power BI experience in a business analysis capacity, including requirements gathering, report validation, and functional testing.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
