Description

  • Deploy, monitor, maintain, and improve the Azure platform.
  • Provide timely break-fix and out-of-hours support to resolve incidents and minimise downtime.
  • Deliver 3rd-line support for live Azure platform services and coordinate with internal teams on complex issues.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to support reliable service operation.
  • Optimise Infrastructure as Code to improve cost efficiency and deployment reliability.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for secure and reliable releases.
  • Provision and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM templates or Terraform.
  • Implement security best practices and align infrastructure with standards such as Azure Security Benchmark, CIS, NIST, and NCSC.
  • Configure monitoring and alerting to track application performance and respond proactively to incidents.
  • Work closely with development, testing, operations, and security teams to support enhancements, new projects, and DevOps integration.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience supporting live services and working in a production support environment.
  • Knowledge of Azure networking and zero trust methodologies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
  • Experience provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks such as Azure Security Benchmark, CIS benchmark, NIST, and NCSC.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience developing with JavaScript and C#.
  • UK-based work eligibility, as the role can only be performed within the UK and work visa sponsorship is not available.
