Description

  • Own and operate the GCP environment, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, and managed services.
  • Design and maintain infrastructure as code, such as Terraform.
  • Keep environments secure, well-structured, and cost-aware.
  • Own and evolve the data platform, including data stores, pipelines, and access patterns.
  • Ensure data systems are reliable, observable, and suitable for analytics and product use.
  • Define standards for data integrity, retention, access, and backup.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines and release safety practices.
  • Design and maintain observability across metrics, logs, tracing, and alerts.
  • Coordinate incident response, post-incident reviews, and remediation work.
  • Own infrastructure-level security, backup and disaster recovery testing, and support audits and risk reviews.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience running production infrastructure on GCP.
  • Experience designing and operating data platforms in production.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, and network controls.
  • Practical experience with incident response, on-call, and post-mortems.
  • Experience planning and executing backup, recovery, and resilience testing.
  • Experience contributing to audits and managing penetration testing.
  • Confidence writing and maintaining infrastructure as code.
  • Confidence managing DevX tools such as CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in health-tech or regulated environments is desirable but not required.
  • Ability to build a strong developer experience that enables high velocity with control.
  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for reliability, security, and responsible data handling.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Pragmatic mindset focused on guardrails rather than bureaucracy.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong emphasis on documentation and runbooks.
