Description

  • Monitor security alerts and events across SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewall, and EDR platforms.
  • Triage security events by investigating network traffic, system logs, anomalies, and potential malicious activity.
  • Manage security incidents, execute response actions, escalate critical issues, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Document incidents and responses, produce incident reports, and maintain SOC documentation.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews and improve SOC procedures and automated response playbooks.
  • Contribute to the security roadmap and architectural decisions for production environments.
  • Perform security investigations and proactive threat hunting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, or threat monitoring.
  • Proficiency with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or ELK.
  • Familiarity with EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewall technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat vectors, network protocols, and application-layer attacks.
  • Practical cloud security experience in AWS or Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in security investigations and proactive threat hunting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to document technical findings for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO27001, ISO27701, PCI DSS, or GDPR compliance frameworks preferred.
