Description

  • Build data pipelines to ingest data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms.
  • Integrate and transform data to match target data models and formats.
  • Design and optimize data storage architectures such as data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed file systems.
  • Improve storage and retrieval performance through partitioning, compression, indexing, query tuning, and caching.
  • Design and implement data models for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Develop data processing systems on Azure for large-scale structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Train and mentor junior data engineers and share knowledge.
  • Work independently and deliver solutions within Agile and Scrum environments.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (4/5).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark (4/5).
  • Strong programming skills for data engineering work (4/5).
  • Strong software development experience for data engineering (4/5).
  • Experience with Azure services (3/5).
  • Experience in technical leadership (3/5).
  • Experience in data processing architecture (3/5).
  • Exposure to GenAI for data engineering (3/5).
  • Experience with CI/CD automation (3/5).
  • Very good communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly to co-workers and business stakeholders.
  • Working experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience designing and optimizing data storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, data warehouses, data governance, and business analysis is a plus.
