Description

  • Lead and develop decision scientists and data scientists while setting quality standards for both disciplines.
  • Own the MAU driver model and company-level forecast.
  • Lead exploratory analysis that informs MAU growth strategy.
  • Establish consistent processes for scoping, conducting, reviewing, and documenting analyses.
  • Partner with Revenue Analytics and Data Engineering leaders on shared metrics, experimentation standards, and operating practices.
  • Build an operating model that embeds the team early in product roadmaps and prioritizes what to build and test.
  • Use agents and automated analysis in daily work and establish AI-native team practices.
  • Coach team members to become proactive strategic advisors and elevate their analytical skills.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or decision science, including 5+ years managing people in senior leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in inferential and causal analytics, with the ability to lead machine learning practitioners.
  • Expertise in engagement, retention, churn, and cohort metrics.
  • Experience forecasting a company-level metric and being accountable for its results.
  • Proficiency in SQL plus Python or R.
  • Experience with Databricks, experimentation tools such as Statsig, Tableau or similar BI tools, and AI-native BI tools such as Hex or AI/BI.
  • Hands-on experience using coding agents such as Claude Code in analytical work.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a master’s degree or PhD in social science, psychology, or behavioral science is preferred.
  • Experience designing experiments that account for network effects is preferred.
  • Experience leading embedded analytics teams in product and engineering organizations or working in a B2C subscription business is preferred.

  • US salary range of $247,000–$366,000 or Canada salary range of $286,000–$339,000, plus equity and additional benefits.
