Description

  • Work with business analysts, or independently when needed, to analyze future-state business processes and identify role-level change impacts.
  • Conduct detailed impact analysis across roles, policies, procedures, SOPs, job descriptions, work instructions, and union or labor relations considerations.
  • Perform business process reengineering work when no business analyst is assigned, including current-state mapping, future-state design, gap analysis, and process documentation.
  • Build change management strategies, plans, and readiness activities grounded in the ACMP Standard for Change Management.
  • Establish change management governance, methodology, work streams, and deliverable cadence for projects that do not already have a change function.
  • Assess organizational readiness through walkthroughs, role-based workshops, and operational scenario testing.
  • Develop transition and cutover plans that address parallel operations, fallback procedures, and day-one support.
  • Rewrite or support rewriting policies, procedures, SOPs, and work instructions to align with future-state operations.
  • Create role-based training, job aids, quick reference guides, and communications tied to actual process changes.
  • Use AI tools to analyze documentation and stakeholder data, accelerate deliverable creation, and pressure-test change strategies.
  • Advise sponsors, executives, project teams, and other stakeholders on the organizational impacts of change and facilitate workshops and readiness sessions.
  • Coach client teams to build sustainable internal OCM and BPR capability and report on adoption metrics and progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • ACMP Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) certification, or demonstrable experience using the ACMP Standard as the primary methodology.
  • Prosci Change Management Certification is valued as a supplemental credential but is not a substitute for the required depth of experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on OCM delivery owning both strategy and execution in business-process-driven change efforts.
  • Direct experience with business process reengineering, including current-state and future-state mapping and gap analysis.
  • Experience identifying and navigating impacts to policies, procedures, SOPs, union agreements, and labor relations.
  • Experience building an OCM or change management function from the ground up on a project that had none.
  • Minimum 2 years working directly with senior leadership and executive stakeholders in an advisory capacity.
  • Experience leading OCM on enterprise-scale or multi-stakeholder transformation initiatives with significant business process change.
  • Direct experience supporting technology implementations at the intersection of system change and operational change.
  • Proven ability to recover or redirect a stalled, resistant, or politically complex change initiative.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting business process flows and translating impacts into change strategy.
  • Active, demonstrated daily use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or equivalent in professional workflow.
  • Ability to use AI for process analysis, stakeholder data synthesis, deliverable drafting, and impact pattern identification.
  • Strong writing skills for policies, procedures, training materials, and communications.
  • Experience designing and delivering role-based training tied to business process changes.
  • Ability to conduct client presentations, facilitate workshops, and lead process walkthrough sessions.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous or complex environments and build structure where none exists.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of consulting experience preferred.
  • Formal business analysis experience preferred.
  • Consulting experience with public sector clients preferred.
  • State of Washington engagement experience preferred.
  • Experience navigating union and labor relations impacts in public sector change delivery preferred.
  • Instructional design, curriculum design, or content/course development experience preferred.
  • COTS or ERP implementation experience preferred.
  • Experience building custom AI workflows or analytical pipelines preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered process analysis, sentiment analysis, or survey analysis tools preferred.

  • Competitive compensation of $130,000–$150,000 annually, based on experience.
