Description

  • Lead planning and execution of US and global congresses, national meetings, and internal corporate events.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics including venues, transportation, catering, room layouts, registration, housing, audiovisual services, and attendee communications.
  • Develop, track, and reconcile event budgets and financial reporting.
  • Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external vendors to align strategy and execution.
  • Manage meeting agencies, congress partners, venues, and third-party vendors, including selection, contracts, and performance.
  • Oversee event readiness, onsite operations, speaker support, booth management, and event teardown.
  • Support attendee communications, event promotions, and registration campaigns.
  • Ensure meetings and events comply with healthcare regulations, industry guidelines, company policies, and HCP spending requirements.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, analyze metrics, and identify process improvements.
  • Contribute to scalable processes, tools, and best practices for the Meetings & Events function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience planning and executing meetings, congresses, and events in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing global events and working with international stakeholders and vendors.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), CMP-HC, Certified Meeting Manager (CMM), or similar certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with event management platforms such as Cvent, ExhibitForce, or equivalent meeting technologies.
  • Familiarity with budget management, registration systems, and event analytics tools.
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing event budgets to maximize value and achieve business objectives.
  • Experience planning and managing meetings across multiple geographies and cultures.
  • Additional language proficiency is valued but not required.
