Description

  • Build and own client relationships as the primary point of contact and trusted business adviser.
  • Advise clients across tech, healthcare, SaaS, fintech, healthtech, NDIS and other emerging sectors.
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial and IT contracts.
  • Advise on intellectual property, licensing and partnership arrangements.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, privacy law and consumer law matters.
  • Work with the Practice Leader to manage, mentor and train junior lawyers and graduates.
  • Support the development of junior lawyers' technical skills and commercial judgment.
  • Contribute to firm growth through client articles, webinars and internal training.
  • Help position LegalVision as a leading firm for innovative Australian businesses.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years PQE in private practice or in-house.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Exposure to tech, healthcare, startups or emerging industries is highly valued.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a practical, business-focused approach to advice.
  • Comfort advising across commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, privacy and consumer law.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and learn new areas quickly.
  • Leadership capability to manage junior lawyers and complex matters.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage competing demands efficiently.
  • Excellent client service mindset with a responsive and proactive approach.
  • Fully remote candidates within Australia must hold an Australian Legal Practising Certificate and full work rights.
