Description

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of new software systems and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Take ownership of main development work on critical features and core systems while contributing to problem definition and solution design.
  • Oversee technical decisions for the team and help guide evolving requirements toward workable solutions.
  • Coordinate with scrum masters, project managers, and software engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain applications.
  • Deliver software projects on time and to agreed quality standards.
  • Use AI tools to improve development speed, assist debugging, and validate solutions where appropriate.
  • Maintain high software quality by establishing and reinforcing good engineering practices and habits.
  • Provide performance feedback, coaching, and career development support to team members.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis for system issues and support resolution of production-related concerns.
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge and share emerging tools and AI-assisted development practices with the team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with full-stack development and modern architectures such as microservices and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, functional programming, scripting, and database management with SQL and NoSQL.
  • Experience with unit testing, TDD/BDD, Agile/Scrum, and UX best practices.
  • Proven track record of managing software products, leading teams, and delivering high-quality solutions on time.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and client management skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Git, testing frameworks, and software security.
  • Comfort working in evolving requirements and adaptable to fast-changing environments, with exposure to AI-assisted development tools.
