Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of a scalable model for AI-enabled ELA instruction.
  • Guide a Robin Hood Foundation-supported multi-school literacy initiative from planning through refinement.
  • Shape Leading Educators’ broader strategy for AI-enabled ELA instruction.
  • Collaborate with system leaders, teachers, coaches, research staff, product teams, and technology partners.
  • Co-create, pilot, and improve instructional supports that preserve the rigor of high-quality curriculum while leveraging AI.
  • Design and deliver content-specific professional learning for teachers and instructional leaders.
  • Build educator capacity to internalize, adapt, and implement high-quality instructional materials with fidelity and flexibility.
  • Lead pilots and prototypes with clear learning questions, data collection, and evidence-based iterations.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns and inform instructional strategy.
  • Translate instructional vision into classroom practice through direct partnership with educators and system leaders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of combined experience in ELA instruction, coaching, and adult learning.
  • At least 5 years of ELA classroom teaching experience.
  • At least 3 years of instructional leadership, coaching, or leading HQIM-aligned professional learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to support teachers in internalizing and adapting curriculum within high-quality instructional materials.
  • Strong ELA pedagogical and content knowledge grounded in Science of Reading and Common Core-aligned instruction.
  • Experience implementing HQIM in ELA; familiarity with HMH Into Literature is a plus.
  • Technical fluency with AI platforms and ability to interpret AI-generated insights for instructional design and professional learning.
  • Ability to travel moderately for retreats, programming, donor meetings, and professional development.
  • Remote work must be from a home office located anywhere within the United States.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $103,649 to $140,231 per year.
  • Standard starting salary of $121,940 for candidates meeting the minimum experience requirement.
  • Starting salary may increase up to $129,779 for additional directly relevant experience.
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for individual employees.
  • Employer covers 60% of additional premium costs for partners and dependents on medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • 4% matching 401(k) plan.
