Description

  • Design, develop, and deploy automated solutions for various processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and understand process requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and create project plans for automation initiatives.
  • Test and troubleshoot automated systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Work with software developers and engineers to build custom automation scripts or applications.
  • Support offshore engineering teams in Brazil with troubleshooting automated tests and pipelines.
  • Monitor and maintain automated systems through inspections, preventative maintenance, and calibration.
  • Analyze performance data, generate reports, and recommend system improvements.
  • Stay current on emerging automation technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Train and support end users on operating and maintaining automated systems.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience as an Automation Engineer, Quality Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience.
  • 5 years of experience with manual quality assurance practices, including black box, exploratory, regression, and risk-based testing.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience designing, programming, and troubleshooting automation software for web and mobile technologies.
  • 3 years of experience with testing automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Detox.
  • 3 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI and GitHub Actions.
  • 2 years of experience managing infrastructure for cloud providers such as AWS and GCP.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and understanding the software development life cycle.
  • Experience building and continuously improving automation pipelines for web and mobile apps using data-driven methodologies.
  • Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases, including Redis and MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in automation, including Python, PHP, and JavaScript.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to automation processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of software development standards such as SOLID and Clear Principles.

  • Base salary of $125,700–$140,000 depending on experience.
