Description

  • Design and build backend services and APIs that AI agents can invoke to query data, trigger workflows, and interact with internal and external systems.
  • Integrate agent tooling with LanguageWire’s internal platform APIs, third-party services, and databases.
  • Define clear tool schemas and contracts, including function schemas, OpenAPI specs, and MCP server definitions, for reliable AI consumption.
  • Build end-to-end agentic workflows that automate business processes across departments such as operations, finance, sales, and project management.
  • Own services end to end, including architecture, coding, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Extend existing .NET microservices and data layers to expose capabilities needed by AI tools.
  • Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and frequent delivery.
  • Apply DevOps and operational excellence practices to keep services observable, resilient, and secure.
  • Collaborate with product managers, domain experts, and engineers to identify automation opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Share knowledge and help shape how the team builds AI-powered products.

Requirements

  • Strong backend experience with C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API, and microservices.
  • Solid experience with relational databases such as MSSQL and/or PostgreSQL, including query design, schema design, and performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to design and build REST APIs and integrate with third-party services and webhooks.
  • Familiarity with async programming, event-driven architecture, and message queues such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ.
  • Some frontend exposure with Vue.js and/or TypeScript, enough to contribute when needed.
  • Practical understanding of LLM APIs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Azure OpenAI.
  • Familiarity with designing or consuming tool/function-calling schemas for LLMs and orchestration layers.
  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar agent-tool integration patterns, or eagerness to learn.
  • Understanding of security and authentication for exposed tool APIs, including OAuth 2.0, API keys, rate limiting, and input validation.
  • Observability mindset with experience in logging, tracing, and monitoring tool invocations and agent interactions.
  • A product mindset focused on solving real business problems rather than just completing tickets.
  • Comfort working with non-technical stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with English fluency required.
  • An agile, collaborative approach and the ability to contribute constructively in discussions.
  • Hands-on DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, with Azure preferred.
  • Experience designing agentic workflows, including chaining tool calls, handling state, and structuring multi-step automated processes.
  • Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
  • Experience with event-driven or workflow automation platforms such as Azure Logic Apps, n8n, or Temporal.
  • Knowledge of prompt chaining patterns and how to structure reliable, deterministic tool-calling behavior in LLM pipelines.
