Description

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, builds, and deployments.
  • Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance, including incident response and post-mortems.
  • Manage cloud cost optimization and enforce infrastructure best practices.
  • Implement security controls across infrastructure, including IAM, secrets management, and network security.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience, tooling, and deployment workflows.
  • Manage environment configuration and environment parity.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional environment for team calls.
  • Availability to work US time zones.
  • Comfortable working as an independent contractor.
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional, or Azure Administrator are preferred.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GitOps workflows such as ArgoCD or Flux is preferred.
  • Experience with database management and scaling in cloud environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-availability, high-traffic production environment is preferred.
