Description

  • Build a documented, repeatable Amazon SEO framework for titles, bullets, product descriptions, A+ content, backend search terms, and keyword research.
  • Define and standardize keyword research methodology using DataDive and Helium 10, including workflow documentation and Loom walkthroughs.
  • Create and publish SOPs, train the catalog team on SEO standards, and establish a clear information hierarchy for listing content.
  • Own SEO execution for priority ASINs, including new listings and a backlog of existing high-revenue catalog items.
  • Develop a tiered prioritization model that applies full optimization to high-velocity ASINs and lighter optimization to short-lifecycle items.
  • Work with the catalog team to embed SEO into listing creation rather than retrofitting listings later.
  • Track before-and-after performance for optimized ASINs, including rank movement, sessions, conversion rate, and unit velocity.
  • Maintain keyword libraries by category and align SEO keyword research with PPC campaign keywords.
  • Monitor Amazon search algorithm changes, indexing best practices, and emerging behaviors such as Rufus and AI search.
  • Identify catalog and listing issues affecting SEO performance and coordinate fixes for titles, images, backend attributes, suppression, and variation structure.
  • Partner on image quality standards and help maintain a centralized image-source database.
  • Deliver weekly SEO performance reports and monthly rollups tied to organic growth, rank movement, and catalog outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Amazon SEO and listing optimization experience, ideally with an Amazon reseller, agency, or aggregator.
  • Deep proficiency with DataDive or equivalent tools such as Helium 10 Cerebro and Magnet, Jungle Scout, or SmartScout.
  • Demonstrated ability to write Amazon titles, bullets, descriptions, and backend search terms that improve rank.
  • Portfolio examples of Amazon SEO work are required for the interview.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon A9 and COSMO behavior for reseller listings versus brand-owner listings.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon bulk operations, including flat files, listing loader, Variation Wizard, Amazon Master files, and variation family fixes.
  • Experience working in large catalogs with 1,000+ ASINs and limited brand assets.
  • Ability to source images, color data, and product information from supplier sites and brand pages.
  • Excellent written English and comfort creating SOPs, Loom walkthroughs, and structured written updates.
  • Strong working proficiency with AI tools, especially Claude, and daily use of AI for keyword expansion, competitor analysis, copy drafting, SOP creation, and workflow automation.
  • Prompt engineering skills to produce high-quality Amazon SEO outputs with minimal back-and-forth.
  • Nice to have: prior experience in athletic, apparel, or footwear categories on Amazon.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with PPC fundamentals so SEO and PPC keyword libraries can be unified.
  • Nice to have: experience connecting Claude or similar tools to Google Drive, Gmail, Asana, or Slack for reporting and analysis.
  • Nice to have: multi-marketplace SEO experience, including Amazon CA, Amazon MX, TikTok Shop, Temu, or Shein.
