Description

  • Own end-to-end data migration execution from GCP to AWS, including data mapping, schema conversion, and hands-on lift-and-shift delivery.
  • Design and implement data synchronization pipelines with strict latency, consistency, and error-recovery SLAs.
  • Implement the target AWS data architecture end to end, including driver personalization engines and production-grade dashboarding solutions.
  • Execute large-scale historical and time-series data migrations with rigorous integrity checks and minimal disruption to live operations.
  • Build monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation frameworks to ensure cross-cloud data fidelity.
  • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders on data governance, access patterns, and analytics requirements.
  • Mentor peers, unblock blockers, and raise the technical quality of the engagement.
  • Design and support enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and dimensional data models.

Requirements

  • Experience migrating data platforms such as BigQuery to Redshift or Cloud SQL to Aurora/RDS.
  • Experience with data mapping, schema conversion, and enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipeline design.
  • Experience with OLAP and OLTP systems, including dimensional modeling with star and snowflake schemas.
  • Experience with transactional database optimization and time-series data migration.
  • Experience with CDC, real-time replication, latency tuning, and robust error handling/retry strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data services including Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, DMS, Glue, Kinesis, MSK (Kafka), Lambda, S3, and Lake Formation.
  • Familiarity with analytics and dashboarding tools such as Amazon QuickSight and Grafana.
  • Working knowledge of GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation for data pipelines.
  • Cloud certifications are a plus but not required, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or Database Specialty, or Google Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Data Engineer.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, or equivalent specialized training/work experience in technology in lieu of a degree.
