Description

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate accurate financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through recording, reconciling, analyzing transactions, and final ledger sign-off.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as the primary point of contact for financial matters.
  • Provide due diligence support for audits, fundraising, and M&A activities.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key financial metrics, trends, and variances.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support client initiatives, investment decisions, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Create and implement client-specific procedures to maintain the accuracy of monthly financials.
  • Support the Kruze Tax Team with state and local compliance, sales and use tax reporting, and year-end books for tax preparation.
  • Review, evaluate, and provide feedback to junior accounting staff and collaborate with Quality Assurance as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting is required.
  • 8+ years of corporate accounting experience.
  • 4+ years of public accounting experience in a multi-client environment.
  • Experience in SaaS accounting, including recurring and deferred revenue.
  • Experience with ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with third-party auditors and investor due diligence.
  • Experience with Series A and Series B venture-backed startups.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting best practices, U.S. GAAP, and state/national regulations.
  • Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online; certification is a plus.
  • Licensed CPA or progress toward eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
  • Master's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Experience with tech-forward accounting platforms such as Expensify, Bill.com, and Stripe is preferred.
  • Experience with newer systems such as Slack, Salesforce, Monday.com, and Karbon is preferred.
