Description

Participate in electrical control design and commissioning for automation systems.
Use KPI standards for electrical controls design, PLC programming, and commissioning.
Support customers and contribute to hands-on design and product development efforts.
Follow safety guidelines, use appropriate PPE, and maintain a safety-first approach.
Understand project schedules, scopes of work, requirements, specifications, and equipment functionality.
Communicate regularly with Project Managers and/or the Controls Manager about progress and issues.
Complete defined tests using KPI standard testing documents and check sheets.
Communicate with customers during testing processes.
Ensure quality of field installations.
Adapt to changing project needs and complete other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, trade school equivalent in PLC/Controls Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-2 years of controls field installation and commissioning experience.
Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience following and executing multiple tasks with the ability to track progress and provide updates and reports.
Knowledge of designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting controls systems such as Rockwell, Siemens, GE, or Square D is a plus.
Knowledge of industrial controls networks such as Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, or DeviceNet is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 60%.
Ability to work in fast-paced, uncertain environments and react effectively to change.
