Description

  • Participate in electrical control design and commissioning for automation systems.
  • Use KPI standards for electrical controls design, PLC programming, and commissioning.
  • Support customers and contribute to hands-on design and product development efforts.
  • Follow safety guidelines, use appropriate PPE, and maintain a safety-first approach.
  • Understand project schedules, scopes of work, requirements, specifications, and equipment functionality.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers and/or the Controls Manager about progress and issues.
  • Complete defined tests using KPI standard testing documents and check sheets.
  • Communicate with customers during testing processes.
  • Ensure quality of field installations.
  • Adapt to changing project needs and complete other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, trade school equivalent in PLC/Controls Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of controls field installation and commissioning experience.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience following and executing multiple tasks with the ability to track progress and provide updates and reports.
  • Knowledge of designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting controls systems such as Rockwell, Siemens, GE, or Square D is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial controls networks such as Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, or DeviceNet is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, uncertain environments and react effectively to change.
