Description

  • Lead infrastructure modernization efforts, including the transition from hybrid on-premises and Azure environments to a fully cloud-native, domain-free environment.
  • Own identity governance end to end, including Entra ID, Active Directory, hybrid identity, Azure AD Connect, conditional access, and the access lifecycle.
  • Administer the full Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, licensing, Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Manage traditional systems administration functions such as Windows Server, Hyper-V, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, patching, firmware, and backups.
  • Build and maintain automation using PowerShell, API integrations, and AI-assisted development to reduce manual work and accelerate delivery.
  • Own network infrastructure across office locations, including Cisco Meraki switching, wireless, VLANs, DHCP, ISP management, VPN connectivity, and monitoring.
  • Maintain PRTG monitoring and respond proactively to infrastructure health issues across the environment.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and lead the migration to a modern cloud telephony platform while managing the current phone system during the transition.
  • Partner with DevOps, helpdesk, and security teams on complex escalations, root-cause analysis, and preventive solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering, with meaningful experience in hybrid Windows and Azure environments.
  • Strong hands-on Azure experience, including Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Files, Azure Arc, Azure Update Manager, and IaaS VM administration.
  • Solid Microsoft 365 administration experience across Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Autopilot.
  • PowerShell proficiency, including Microsoft Graph API, Active Directory automation, and Exchange Online management.
  • Comfort with API integrations and scripted workflows, plus experience using AI tools to accelerate engineering work.
  • Solid on-premises Windows Server background, including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with enterprise backup platforms and restore validation practices.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Meraki or an equivalent enterprise network platform.
  • Strong security awareness and good judgment around security decisions; SOC 2 or similar compliance framework familiarity is a plus.
  • AWS experience is a plus for supporting legacy workloads.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft AZ-104, or MS-102 are a strong plus.
  • Disciplined change management and documentation practices before executing infrastructure changes.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $110,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Bonus potential of 10% annually.
  • Remote work arrangement.
  • Full-time position.
