Description

  • Monitor and interpret federal and state legislation, regulations, agency guidance, enforcement actions, and court decisions affecting automotive retail.
  • Research legal and regulatory requirements and provide practical implementation guidance to internal teams and clients.
  • Maintain and expand 50-state compliance libraries, regulatory matrices, decision trees, reference guides, FAQs, and educational materials.
  • Develop standardized compliance methodologies, checklists, playbooks, and reporting guidance for consultants.
  • Support advertising review operations, regulatory inquiries, and consumer protection compliance initiatives.
  • Analyze recurring compliance findings to improve consultant guidance, client resources, and review methodologies.
  • Develop and evaluate AI-assisted prompts, knowledge agents, report-generation workflows, and automated advertising review capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Consulting, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Learning & Development, Client Success, and executive teams.
  • Establish trusted subject-matter expertise in automotive Advertising, Sales, and F&I compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive retail compliance, dealership operations, consumer protection, regulatory affairs, legal research, compliance consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of automotive Advertising, Sales, and Finance & Insurance.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and interpret complex legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including translating legal concepts into practical business guidance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools for research, knowledge management, document development, or professional workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions.
  • Juris Doctor and licensed attorney status preferred.
  • Experience with automotive advertising reviews and laws including the FTC Act, UDAP/UDAAP, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, GLBA, privacy laws, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and state advertising requirements preferred.

Benefits

  • Flexible, mostly remote work arrangement.
  • Annual base salary of $95,000–$115,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Annual bonus potential of up to 10%.
  • Approximately 5% travel for internal meetings, client engagements, training, and industry conferences.
