Description

  • Deliver structured, drop-in, and single-session wellness coaching, psychoeducation, and behavioral health interventions.
  • Develop individualized care plans, facilitate goal-setting, and support actionable steps toward wellness goals.
  • Conduct mental health and wellness screenings, monitor progress, and assess and mitigate risk.
  • Support users experiencing crises and facilitate referrals or warm handoffs to care coordinators and external providers.
  • Moderate journals, goals, and user-submitted content in accordance with safeguarding, compliance, and data protection policies.
  • Identify social, emotional, behavioral, and substance-use-related concerns and address determinants of positive mental health.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and support case management, safeguarding, and operational processes.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, performance management, mandatory training, and professional development.
  • Maintain applicable certifications or licensure and liaise with other professionals regarding care concerns.

Requirements

  • Current, valid California or national Peer Support Specialist certification for the peer support pathway.
  • Current, valid California SUD Counselor certification for the substance use disorder counselor pathway.
  • GED or high school diploma for Peer Support Specialist and SUD Counselor pathways.
  • Education or relevant experience supporting behavioral health and wellness coaching competencies.
  • Experience or demonstrated competency in peer support, strengths-based engagement, emotional or behavioral support, or substance-use-related behavioral change.
  • Ability to deliver structured and single-session coaching, including goal-setting and risk assessment.
  • Permanent residence within the 48 contiguous United States.
  • Experience in youth mental health, care coordination, digital behavioral health, crisis support, or related volunteer work preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred.
  • Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check as part of recruitment procedures.
