Description

  • Oversee day-to-day tasks related to clinical revenue management and charge capture optimization projects.
  • Deliver high-quality analysis and process improvement recommendations to improve revenue cycle efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with client leadership at multiple levels to support operational improvements.
  • Manage multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams and internal staff.
  • Apply technical expertise and interpersonal skills to solve client revenue cycle challenges.
  • Use data and analytics tools to inform decision-making and drive process improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support client-focused consulting engagements and contribute to business development opportunities when applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a health-related field is required; MBA, MHA, and/or MPH is highly desirable.
  • 3-5 years of healthcare experience with a focus on professional billing coding and charging.
  • Previous experience in a professional services or consulting role is essential.
  • Expertise in professional revenue cycle management, especially coding and charge capture processes, is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the area of expertise, with relevant licensure or certifications such as CPC, COC, CPPM, CRCR, CIRCC, or RHIA.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional financial and analytical skills, including proficiency with data and analytics tools such as Excel.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience in professional billing coding/coding auditing, charging, provider coding education, or managing a physician practice or clinic is ideal.
  • Experience with professional clinical documentation and EMR systems such as Athena or Epic is preferred.
  • Prior sales or business development experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to client sites as needed.
  • Desired certifications and experience include CPC Certification, CPPM Certification, CCDS-O Certification, Epic PB Resolute Billing Administration, and charge capture/coding experience.
