Description

  • Build and enhance end-to-end product experiences using both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Improve existing products and develop new capabilities for the WhatsApp channel.
  • Tackle complex technical challenges and evaluate multiple solution approaches and trade-offs.
  • Participate in team discussions and help shape technology decisions.
  • Ship well-designed, thoroughly tested solutions with strong reliability and performance.
  • Own the core WhatsApp product surface across Klaviyo and make it available where customers expect it.
  • Build and operate WhatsApp-specific capabilities such as outbound and inbound pipelines and Meta template management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization to unblock work and drive broader impact.
  • Scale WhatsApp across Klaviyo by closing feature gaps and integrating new Meta capabilities.
  • Run targeted adoption experiments to increase usage of the WhatsApp channel.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
  • A proven track record of building high-quality products and systems with clean, maintainable code.
  • Experience building end-to-end software solutions or deep experience with both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Familiarity with code reviews and robust testing practices.
  • Experience working in agile, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with Python and related technologies (nice to have).
  • Experience with React and related technologies (nice to have).
  • Background in digital marketing or customer data software (nice to have).
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts or applications (nice to have).
  • Experience building cloud-native solutions, ideally on AWS (nice to have).

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $116,000 to $174,000 USD for US locations.
  • Participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, depending on role and eligibility.
  • Equity as part of the total compensation package.
  • Sign-on payments may be included.
  • Comprehensive health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
  • Up to 10% travel for onboarding, team meetings, client or partner work, and industry events, coordinated in advance.
